Paolina Russo’s SS26 collection marks a bold continuation of her signature fusion of craft, nostalgia, and forward-thinking innovation.
Paolina Russo‘s SS26 collection is a whimsical fusion of retro romance and sports functionality: tracksuit items are reimagined into picnic-ready designs, floral jerseys become flowing skirts, and each ensemble exudes creativity, freedom, and community. Photographer Meen Kyung Kim transports us to the Russo world where sports-inspired pieces, neon accents, and nostalgic themes blend with rural crafts to create a distinctive uniform that honors shared suburban experiences and the relationships formed during girlhood. The reimagined Laura Ashley’s iconic florals find a home among the early online-inspired collages made with Microsoft Paint for a youthful, unguarded vibe.
We see an evolution of Russo’s signature warrior knits into striped tank tops, zip cardigans, and peplum skirts, this season in linen and cotton. A hand-knit, craft-heavy sweatshirt with a rainbow surface embroidered with heart doodles was created as a hero piece in partnership with the female artisans of Maison Arnaychay in Peru. Core Illusion knits feature patchwork babydoll shirts and numbered polos with gradient, spray-like designs. Smocked accents on tracksuits with a picnic design offer a touch of bucolic appeal to streetwear charm.
