For decades, Vichy has been a cornerstone of the French pharmacy, one of those quietly authoritative staples that dermatologists and French women love. The brand built its reputation on clinical credibility, sensitive-skin formulas, and that uniquely French blend of science and restraint. In a beauty landscape crowded with hype, Vichy has long been a trusted brand.

Now, its move into collagen marks a significant evolution. When a heritage pharmacy brand known for evidence-backed formulations embraces collagen, you know it’s serious and not just a buzzword ingredient. I visited the Vichy Longevity Clinic in Paris for their immersive experience, which established the brand’s vision for integrated beauty and represented its biggest breakthrough in over ten years. These developments collectively demonstrate Vichy’s holistic approach to longevity, which combines cutting-edge topical treatment with oral supplements to promote the health of the skin, scalp, and hair from the inside out.

Throughout the clinic, I got the chance to pick everyone’s brain from the Collagen Bar to the Hair Clinic and even tried the red-light therapy. One thing I have to point out, even though I love perfumes, everything was fragrance-free, something I always look for. What really stood out compared to a visit to my favorite pharmacies was the more holistic approach to mental, physical, and hormonal health. You can try all the products in the world, but if your hormonal health, for example, is all over the place, it can show on your face, and we can’t have a one-size-fits-all approach as we go through different stages. In many ways, talking about these subjects still feels a bit taboo for the older generation, so it was refreshing to see how vocal women are becoming.

In full disclosure, I got several products to try from their cross-category combining dermatology, nutrition, hair science, and health technology. I have to admit that I didn’t know Decros was their haircare line. After years of hair color, strict ponytails, and flatirons, I loved their Dercos Collagen 17 Filler, part of a three-step collection, and came into my shower at just the right time, as I’ve been experiencing lots of broken hair at the crown.

The Liftactiv Collagen Supplements also address hair health, along with skin and nails. I have ditched gel nails in recent months as I’m focusing on building up my nail strength. The supplements, which were co-developed with nutritionists and dermatologists and supported by more than ten years of collagen research, mark a significant turning point for Vichy as it applies the same degree of scientific rigor to nutricosmetics as it did to dermocosmetics. The formula is enhanced with vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc (which I have been taking for years and was excited to see included), and copper to boost collagen synthesis and general health. It is powered by innovative vegetarian eggshell collagen, which is naturally rich in collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. It will most likely be my pharmacy go-to staple for life.
