Under the Barcelona sun, Principe di Bologna slows things down. Poolside at Montjuïc, the Italian house lets woven leather, quiet luxury, and summer heat set the mood.

There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when a fashion campaign understands not just the clothes, but the feeling they’re meant to evoke.

To launch the season, the Italian house Principe di Bologna did what any sensible person would do in the heat of the day: they took a pause. They set up at Barcelona’s Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc, a place you might recognize even if you’ve never been. It’s the iconic pool that, filmed 21 years apart, provided the backdrop for Kylie Minogue’s “Slow” and Dua Lipa’s “Illusion.” In other words, the vibe was locked in from the start.

The campaign’s true protagonists are the accessories and footwear. The design team is leaning into quiet luxury this season, centering the offering on matte woven detailing that nods to traditional Tuscan methods.

For men, the collection offers accessories and footwear suited for everything from a morning at the pastry shop to a boardroom meeting. Tricolor brogues break from the usual monochrome or two-tone palette. Loafers are made from high-tech naplac leather, a material thinner and more flexible than traditional patent leather, constructed with a seamless Tubular technique for a custom-like fit.

Beach-ready sabot sandals with a hand-applied patina achieve an aged, bon vivant dandy look. Blue suede high-tops feature a lightweight, extra-high sole and hand-braided detailing at the sides, paired with a matching suede beauty case that doubles as a clutch.

The message is clear: luxury does not have to be rigid. Sometimes, it looks like a well-made shoe, a woven bag, and the simple act of taking a break by the water. With “La Siesta Primavera,” Principe di Bologna reminds us that the best statement you can make is one of ease.
