The 15th edition of Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest brought together over 45,000 in-person attendees, marking its most successful year to date. What began 15 years ago as Spain’s first online film festival has evolved into a global reference in hybrid formats, perfectly balancing the reach of streaming with the magic of cinema on the big screen.
Held from late July to early August, the festival once again served as the perfect summer bridge between Málaga and San Sebastián, offering a bold selection of international premieres, powerful stories, and emerging voices. The 2025 programme featured over 100 screenings — including titles from Berlin, Cannes and Sundance — alongside concerts, talks, and industry events. This year’s line-up welcomed acclaimed guests such as María Valverde, Rossy de Palma, C. Tangana, Gustavo Dudamel, and many more.
Atlàntida reaffirmed its unique approach, blending cinema, music, and dialogue into an immersive cultural experience. The closing ceremony, held at the Centro Cultural La Misericòrdia, saw Queen Letizia present the Master of Cinema award to Alberto Iglesias, followed by the screening of María Valverde’s documentary El canto de las manos.
Through the lens of Ramiro E, the festival’s vibrant atmosphere comes alive — from the excitement of the red carpet to the warmth of summer nights in Palma. His images capture the spirit of an event that continues to challenge and redefine what a film festival can be.
