With UNIFORM, Betsy Johnson turns clothing into a question of belonging. Between theatre, sound, and upcycled craft, her debut unfolds as a shared ritual—where identity, memory, and community stitch the brand’s first chapter.

For Fall Winter 2026, Betsy Johnson (not to be confused with the American designer Betsey Johnson) presented UNIFORM, the debut show marking the launch of her forthcoming brand. Staged at Théâtre du Châtelet in collaboration with LA Watch Party, the show unfolded for both the audience inside the theatre and those watching remotely, bringing two parallel communities together in a shared moment.
The collection explores clothing as both structure and expression. Models walked out to a soundscape composed by Michel Gaubert, weaving together fragments of British cultural memory from music to broadcast and club references while our favorite haute-coiffeur Charlie Le Mindu did hair.
Upcycled materials sat at the core of the collection proposing a collaborative ecosystem where reuse, dialogue, and shared creativity guide the process. The show featured a cast of collaborators who embody the spirit of the project, positioning the brand as a platform for storytelling and a more responsible approach to fashion. For Johnson, the idea of a uniform is layered as it can signal belonging and protection, but also control. Growing up in Northern England, her early experiences with dress shaped by landscape, community, and identity form the foundation of her vision.
