From runway to showroom, the names redefining Spanish fashion this season from Spain Gallery’s corner at 080 Barcelona Fashion.

Spanish fashion deserves visibility, which is precisely the foundation on which Spain Gallery was built. Now in its second season at 080 Barcelona Fashion, Paula Viana’s project once again confirms its role as one of the most dynamic meeting points within the city’s fashion week. More than a parallel space, 080SPOT_SPAINGALLERY has established itself as a place where Spain’s independent fashion scene comes into sharp focus, bringing together discovery, dialogue, and direct connection over four intense days.

Paula Viana’s Spain Gallery founder.
This edition gathered a curated selection of 22 brands, reinforcing its commitment to showcasing local talent with a strong, collective voice. This year, the platform also evolved further by incorporating direct sales, responding to a growing desire not only to see fashion, but to access it in real time. Across four days, three talks, and four workshops, the space became a living ecosystem that encouraged visitors to engage with fashion beyond the runway, where ideas circulate as fluidly as garments.

Its impact extended onto the catwalk itself. Brands such as Carrieri, Bibencia, and Coconutscankill – part of the Spain Gallery community – presented their collections this season, while collaborations with labels like Tarti Tailored and Hune reinforced a sense of shared authorship. Together, they shaped a narrative that moves beyond individual brands, articulating a collective vision of contemporary Spanish fashion rooted in proximity, creativity, and a clear ambition to generate lasting impact.
To give a sense of what we experienced firsthand, here’s a selection of brands we had the chance to explore more closely throughout the week.

CARRIERI
Carrieri walked the runway this season, expanding its universe into something immersive and narrative-driven. The collection draws from a retro-galactic 90s imaginary, referencing early 3D video games like Star Fox, where digital worlds once symbolised endless possibility. That nostalgia is reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, with enveloping, futuristic silhouettes, sharp cut-outs echoing vector landscapes, and structures reminiscent of space pilot uniforms. Up close, metallic accessories and vibrant, almost pixel-like colours reinforce this sense of protection and movement, resulting in a collection that reclaims instinct to move forward and build one’s own path.

TARTI TAILORED
Introducing a more playful and intimate dimension, Tarti Tailored expands its universe beyond garments into objects that connect directly with emotion and memory. Rooted in the idea of reconnecting with one’s inner child, the brand proposes a softer approach to adulthood – one that embraces creativity, spontaneity, and the freedom to play. This new chapter begins with handcrafted rings by Elena Salvador, each one taking days to complete and shaped by a slow, thoughtful process. No two pieces are alike, reinforcing the value of uniqueness and care. This season, that spirit extended onto the runway through a collaboration with AAA Studio, where Tarti’s pieces subtly infused the looks with a sense of joy and playful irreverence.

PAOLA MOLET
Paola Molet approaches fashion as a deeply personal and artistic practice, where each piece becomes a way of interpreting and expressing the world around her. At 080 Barcelona Fashion, garments from an intimate and intentional collection, built on a strong connection between designer and wearer, were available for visitors to purchase. Her commitment to local, ethical production is central, reinforcing a philosophy rooted in proximity, care, and quality. Craftsmanship plays a key role, drawing from haute couture traditions to create garments that are unique and precise. It’s a thoughtful balance between artistry and responsibility that resonates far beyond thanks to creating locally.

COCONUTSCANKILL
A striking debut at 080 Barcelona Fashion, Coconutscankill’s HALFWAY DONE is a collection that captures the unsettling feeling of losing oneself in an overstimulated, hyper-digital world. Rooted in the idea of “brain rot” and the fragmentation of memory, the proposal reflects a reality where identity feels scattered and unfinished. This tension translates into garments that embrace dissonance through eclectic materials, unexpected combinations, and layered textures that seem out of place yet somehow resolve into a cohesive whole. The colour palette is intentionally diverse, reinforcing that sense of visual overload. However, beneath the chaos, there’s a search for reconnection that acts as a reminder of something left incomplete, waiting to be reclaimed.

JANE BARDOT
Rooted in María Blanco’s background in fine arts and her early exposure to craftsmanship, Jane Bardot balances artistic exploration with technical precision. Each piece, handcrafted in Madrid, reflects that dialogue between tradition and unpredictability. Beyond aesthetics, there’s also a conscious commitment to local production and responsible materials, reinforcing a vision where beauty, storytelling, and sustainability coexist naturally. Blanco also embraces the idea of constant transformation, reimagining everyday forms as small sculptural pieces.

ALINEO STUDIO
Bringing a more participatory dimension to 080 Barcelona Fashion, Alineo Studio presented a customization workshop with Hune that invited the audience directly into the creative process. Led by Lis Domínguez, the experience revolved around an exclusive organza bag, crafted from hand-dyed fabrics in vibrant tones and designed especially for the occasion. Participants could personalize each piece with pearls, embellishments, and accessories, creating something entirely their own. Produced in a limited run of just 20 units, the bag extends the Alineo Studio x Hune capsule collection, reinforcing the brand’s focus on individuality, craftsmanship, and the value of making each object feel personal.

BIBENCIA
Bibencia translated its poetic universe into a runway moment rooted in storytelling, drawing from the myth of Penelope as a symbol of perseverance and quiet strength. The collection, PENÉLOPE, unfolds as a reflection on discipline and desire, where each garment embodies the act of building one’s own destiny through constancy. Soft pastels like pink and light blue evoke beginnings, while black and burgundy introduce depth, intensity, and earned triumph. Corsetry becomes the structural core, a metaphor for inner resilience, while delicate bows suggest emotional ties and devotion. Both on the catwalk and up close, the collection feels like a gentle yet powerful reminder that persistence shapes every meaningful journey.

ETÉME
Built through emotion, Etéme’s universe translates the ideas of love, art, and the quiet beauty found in nature into pieces that feel personal and reflective. When looked up close, this sensitivity comes through in designs that invite a slower, more intentional way of engaging with fashion. Each garment is designed and made in Barcelona, following an on-demand model that avoids overproduction and places value on process and quality. This shows a clear sense of care behind every piece, from material choice to construction. The brand creates an experience that serves as a starting point to tell your own story.

CADUCIFOLIUM
Caducifolium is the project founded by emerging designer Laia Badia. Her work questions whether material innovation can truly coexist with environmental responsibility, and answers by inviting others into the process. Through a hands-on presence at 080SPOT_ SPAINGALLERY, she showed how her biomaterials are created from scratch, mirroring the same techniques used in her collection. The proposal goes beyond sustainable discourse, blurring the line between creator and wearer: these materials can be remelted into new garments or returned to the earth as fertilizer. It’s a radical, circular vision of fashion that feels as thoughtful as it is forward-looking.
