At the break of dawn, a woman rises — not merely to face the day, but to step into a world where every morning feels like a stage. In Ottolinger’s AW25 collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, each garment becomes a poetic gesture, a quiet rebellion against routine. Dressing transforms into an art form, where identity shifts with the light, and authenticity dances with illusion, as fleeting as the dawn.
Deep breath.
Scan the room.
That’s it. Just walk.
Left. Right.
Left. Right.
I’ve done this a thousand times.
Millions of times.
One foot, then the other.
But if I think about it, it becomes impossible.
Like the dreams I have about driving.
An inevitable collapse. A black hole of memory.
Gas. Break. Foot. Leg. Mangled light pole.
I need to breathe.
No one knows I have to pass through an invisible veil.
No one knows I am wearing a silicone mask.

At the break of dawn, a woman rises — not merely to face the day, but to step into a world where every morning feels like a stage. In Ottolinger‘s AW25 collection, unveiled at Paris Fashion Week, each garment becomes a poetic gesture, a quiet rebellion against routine. Dressing transforms into an art form, where identity shifts with the light, and authenticity dances with illusion, as fleeting as the dawn.
Founded in 2015 by Swiss designers Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient, Berlin-based Ottolinger has become synonymous with deconstructed fashion that merges punk attitude with precision. For their latest collection, BODY/CORPS/SOMA, the duo presented a story about the modern woman’s negotiation between authenticity and performance.
The collection showcased Ottolinger’s deconstructionist approach, blending raw edges, asymmetrical cuts, and sculptural silhouettes. Innovative leathers, including one mimicking neoprene, added tactile depth. The striking OTIS CARBON METALLIC leather, developed in collaboration with ECCO.kollektive, appeared on dive-inspired footwear and updated tote bags reminiscent of metallic freezer bags.
A standout reinterpretation came in the form of ECCO’s iconic JOKE shoe. Ottolinger’s version featured bold wedge boots and sleek mules, available in glossy, matte, and nubuck finishes. The ECCO JOKE LOCK boots, with adjustable buckle closures and multi-strap design, pushed the interplay between practicality and ornamentation. Additional highlights included the DIP toiletry bag, created through injection molding and finished with a dripping wet-paint effect, as well as a micro version of the FROZEN tote.
«Our latest collection boldly explores materials, experimenting with textures and finishes in surprising ways. BODY/CORPS/SOMA reimagines the relationship between function and form, transcending everyday wear,» said Bösch and Gadient.
