Mugler Introduces The Wardrobe of Identities

04 / 12 / 2025

Mugler steps into a new era as Miguel Castro Freitas debuts The Wardrobe of Identities—a fluid, sculpted vision where shifting personas, sharp tailoring, and quiet transformation redefine the house’s architectural power.

The house of Mugler unveiled The Wardrobe of Identities, the first visual narrative by creative director Miguel Castro Freitas who joined the house back in April. On first impressions, Castro Freitas is seen as a natural fit for Mugler for his sharp command of tailoring, his experience across major Paris houses from haute couture at Dior under John Galliano to senior roles at Yves Saint Laurent and Lanvin.

The Pre-Collection SS26 proposes a living wardrobe built around new archetypal pieces that translate house codes through movement, fluidity and form. Sculpted tailoring, satin and jersey define silhouettes marked by strong shoulders and hourglass waists reinforcing Mugler’s architectural legacy while setting a new direction under Castro Freitas.  Photographed by Reto Schmid and styled by Robbie Spencer, the visuals feature Libby Bennett and explore the idea of identity in motion through shifting personas and quiet transformation.

The collection will be available from December 2025 on mugler.com and in selected boutiques worldwide.
