Artist Anna Izquierdo Gilabert and Estudio Agnes present I Could Fix Him
Anna Izquierdo Gilabert is a photographer and visual artist living in Barcelona. Her work digs into the blurry lines of photography, especially the kind we snap on a whim, and how it can both capture and twist our memories. Using collage, writing, and image editing, she challenges the link between what’s real and what’s imagined, mixing personal archives with that nostalgic dreamworld we all have.
On Thursday, March 27th, at 18:00, Anna Izquierdo Gilabert and Estudio Agnes will present her project I Could Fix Him at Un Espacio Técnico, in Hospitalet de Llobregat (Rambla de la Marina, 456). The exhibition will be open to the public until Sunday, March 30th.
I Could Fix Him dives into how certain images stick in our minds, especially those tied to the feeling of love. On a surface level, the title is a nod to that meme where women playfully embrace their ‘delirious love blindness,’ making fun of themselves.

But it’s also about trying to freeze personal memories in images—taking an obsessive thought and turning it into something real. The show digs into the love many women get hooked on: a love that gives life meaning but can also suck away their sense of self and creativity. When love is romanticized, it can end up feeling like romanticizing serving men. The exhibit asks: can we flip the script on the lack of social recognition for women in love by creating an exhibit that puts her at the center? It questions if it’s possible to take a private obsession and turn it into something everyone can see.
