Caribbean roots meet Mediterranean spirit in a collaboration that turns the sea, self-expression and freedom into fashion.
With ‘High Tides’, Desigual joins forces with BOTTER, the creative duo led by Lisi Herrebrugh and Rushemy Botter, to present a collection where water becomes both concept and material. The sea, a symbol of connection and fluidity, runs through each piece, embodying a shared vision that crosses borders and unites cultures.
The collection blends Desigual’s multicultural patchwork DNA with BOTTER’s sculptural yet fluid craftsmanship. Raw hemlines, exposed seams and layered silhouettes embrace process and imperfection while celebrating re-creation as beauty. From hybrid dresses and tops to oversized blazers shaped with curved panels, and denim printed with marine sunsets, ‘High Tides’ speaks in fragments that cohere into a bold, human language.
Accessories deepen the narrative: inflated air-bag totes, undulating embroidery, asymmetrical stitching and visible inner layers evoke the ocean’s depth and movement. Volumes are organic and dynamic, while abstract prints suggest liquid landscapes, submerged textures and moments of expansion.
Chromatically, the axis is BOTTER’s vibrant blue, appearing saturated, aqueous, deep or electric, creating harmonies that mirror the tides. The result feels both sculptural and free, capturing the emotion of water as a living fabric that touches every shore.
Responsibility is integral to the proposal. Recycled fabrics, repurposed plastic sequins and certified materials meet a production approach focused on traceability and reduced impact, aligning an experimental ethos with conscious practice and Desigual’s ongoing evolution.
Conceived as unisex, the pieces invite layering, dismantling and reinterpretation according to the wearer. ‘High Tides’ is available now exclusively to Desigual Club members and will open to all customers on August 28.
