In ‘Fireflies’, Valentino presents its Spring/Summer 2026 collection as a quiet meditation on light, vulnerability and collective presence, captured by Willy Vanderperre inside a Roman villa.

The new campaign by Valentino, photographed by Willy Vanderperre and directed creatively by Alessandro Michele, unfolds within the frescoed rooms of Villa Parisi near Rome.
Bodies gather in small groups, leaning on each other, suspended in soft, diffused light. The mood is intimate rather than spectacular. No literal fireflies appear, yet the glow suggested by the title lingers in the way skin, silk and shadow meet. Vanderperre frames the cast as a constellation rather than isolated figures, reinforcing the sense of shared presence.
The imagery mirrors the collection itself. For Spring/Summer 2026, Michele balances transparency and structure: sheer dresses over precise tailoring, lace against sharp suiting, lingerie codes intertwined with ceremonial references. The silhouettes feel fragile but intentional, ceremonial yet personal.
Inspired by Pier Paolo Pasolini and his metaphor of disappearing fireflies, the campaign frames clothing as a shared language. Elegance here is not solitary. It exists in proximity, in support, in the quiet strength of standing together.
