Adolfo Domínguez presents “El Número,” a collection that returns to the brand’s origins through tailoring, experimentation and the language of measurement.

There is a moment in every garment where idea becomes structure, where intuition turns into pattern and measurement shapes form. That invisible architecture is what “El Número” brings to the surface. Adolfo Domínguez presents this Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection at 080 Barcelona Fashion, framing it within the brand’s 50th anniversary and its ongoing evolution. Rooted in tailoring and developed through experimental construction, the project transforms historical codes into new forms while translating the tools of the atelier into visual language.
«El Número” begins with tailoring as its base. Blazers feature pronounced shoulders and displaced armholes, reshaped through invisible elastic elements, while wires and rods along the edges introduce tension and alter the silhouette. This logic extends into hybrid pieces: shirts that function as knitwear, ballerinas that act as sneakers and skirts conceived as trousers, opening each garment to multiple readings.
The visual language emerges directly from the atelier. Rulers, measuring tapes and set squares become graphic motifs and prints, turning measurement into image and construction into surface. A photographic print of the magnolia tree, Adolfo Domínguez’s preferred tree, runs through the collection, introducing a reflection on time through the fleeting nature of its petals. “El Número” positions the number as an internal structure that connects measurement, pattern and form, while subtle references to the brand’s 50th anniversary link its history with its present.
