Dior Beauty transforms its emblematic fragrance into the protagonist of a dreamlike animated short that travels through the house’s history and visual codes.
What if a perfume could walk, fly and explore Paris? Dior Beauty has partnered with French animation studio Remembers to imagine ‘Miss Dior’ as an animated heroine for the first time. Directed by the studio’s cofounder Ugo Bienvenu, the short film translates the fragrance’s universe into a story shaped by fantasy, memory and classic Japanese animation.
The film follows its protagonist as she runs through the streets of Paris before floating above the city suspended from balloons. A playful bee guides her through a landscape filled with references to the maison’s history: Christian Dior’s roses, the silhouette of his sister Catherine Dior and the gardens of the Château de La Colle Noire.

These familiar symbols become part of a vivid animated world. A monumental pink bow and the house’s recognisable houndstooth pattern accompany the journey, connecting the fragrance’s heritage with a lighter, contemporary visual language.
The dreamlike atmosphere extends to the backgrounds, created by artist Louise Seynhaeve using an artisanal Japanese gouache technique associated with 1980s animation. The time-intensive process gives the natural settings a tactile, hand-painted quality. Flowers, gardens and Parisian skies retain the subtle irregularities of the brush, bringing warmth and depth to every frame.
Through animation, ‘Miss Dior’ moves beyond the perfume bottle to become a character with her own rhythm and curiosity. The short revisits the house’s archive and reveals how its symbols continue to evolve through new forms of storytelling.
