Childhood memories, enchanted forests and surreal proportions shape a collection where familiar objects take on unexpected meanings and imagination becomes a way of seeing the world differently.

Imagination transforms familiar objects into unexpected forms, challenging everyday conventions. Presented during Paris Fashion Week, the latest collection by Abraham Ortuño Pérez for Abra invites us into a world where shoes become hats, garments acquire new functions and reality follows the logic of a fairy tale. Drawing on Studio Ghibli’s ‘The Secret World of Arrietty’, the transformations of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and the miniature world of Sylvanian Families, the collection unfolds through exaggerated silhouettes, tactile fabrics and unexpected combinations.
Red patent leather shoes appear on models’ heads, skirts become bustiers and strands of hair transform footwear into surreal objects, with contributions from hairstylist Charlie Le Mindu. Psychedelic mushroom prints, oversized gingham and metallic textures reinforce the sensation of entering a world where everything has been rearranged.
Behind this playful vision lies a personal memory. Living between Paris and Mallorca, Ortuño has revisited the forests he explored with his grandparents as a child, when he dreamed of encountering fairies among the trees. That fantasy materialises in sculptural dresses made from hand-cut satin leaves, alongside a new collaboration with Camper featuring imaginative reinterpretations of its Pelotas shoes.

The collection also carries a reflection on the present. Faced with an increasingly chaotic world, Ortuño embraces the possibility of turning everything upside down. Childhood imagination becomes a creative tool for questioning familiar structures and exploring alternative perspectives.
