Backstages from the 41st Riga Fashion Week trace the shared language of Baltic design through the work of Studio MX, Natalija Jansone and Szczygiel, three visions connected by intention, process and craft.
Designers from across the Baltic and beyond gathered in Riga, showing their collections at Hanzas Perons, Zunda Towers and Latvian Design Stories, in a season that felt open, experimental and full of new voices. Guided by Elena Strahova, Founder and CEO of Riga Fashion Week, the event reaffirmed Riga’s role as a creative hub for the Baltic region and beyond.
Among the Latvian names, Megija-Luīze Pudāne, a Paris-trained designer, staged a standout show for her label Studio MX, defined by its tagline ‘edgy glamour crafted by hands’ and a quiet devotion to making. Natalija Jansone revisited her minimalist codes with clarity and restraint. From Poland, Szczygiel worked with dead-stock fabrics, transforming leftover materials into structured pieces that spoke of care and resourcefulness.
Captured backstage for #VEINDIGITAL, these photographs focus on what happens before the runway begins: fittings, final stitches and brief silences that reveal another side of the week. This edition, known as the season of debuts for the twelve designers who joined the event for the first time, reflected how Riga’s fashion scene continues to open outward while staying true to its roots.
