Lightness, technical construction and a playful exploration of the body shape the latest chapter of the collaboration.
The most striking element sits underfoot. A sculptural GEL™ structure gives the silhouette its volume while keeping it cushioned and lightweight, setting up the balance between technical precision and softness that runs throughout the new GEL-KINETIC™ FR by Cecilie Bahnsen and ASICS SportStyle.
Launching in Piedmont Grey/Silver and Black Coffee, the shoe combines a fine micro textured base with embossed and high shine surfaces that subtly change with the light. Flower motifs appear across the construction alongside charms and beads, adding texture and movement without weighing down its technical character.
Bahnsen’s signature drawcord lacing meets adjustable Velcro straps, flower shaped eyelets and a softly padded half tongue. Underfoot, ASICS’ GEL™ technology provides cushioning and impact absorption, integrating performance directly into the visual language of the shoe.
Movement continues in the campaign created with artist and photographer Isabelle Wenzel. Shot in an open air theatre in Copenhagen, the images fragment the body into limbs, gestures and silhouettes, transforming physical movement into playful, almost sculptural compositions.
The GEL-KINETIC™ FR launches on 28 August 2026 at 10 AM CET through Cecilie Bahnsen’s online store and Copenhagen Boutique, followed by selected retailers and ASICS channels worldwide from 12 September.
