In ‘Into the Horsescape’, Pierre Hardy transforms Hermès’ equestrian heritage into a high jewelry collection where movement, craftsmanship and symbolism shape ninety one-of-a-kind creations.

Lines, gestures and craftsmanship define the starting point of Hermès‘ new high jewelry collection. ‘Into the Horsescape’, the house’s ninth collection designed by Pierre Hardy, draws on the vocabulary of equestrian heritage to create a series of jewels that move between abstraction and recognition, turning familiar forms into wearable sculptures.

Across ninety one-of-a-kind pieces, bridles, stirrups, harnesses, horseshoes and blacksmith’s nails become the starting point for compositions that prioritise line, movement and proportion over direct representation. Functional objects lose their original purpose and are reimagined as fluid forms that wrap around the body through intricate articulations and exceptional stone setting.

Divided into twelve chapters, each exploring a different aspect of Hermès’ equestrian identity, the collection unfolds through distinct narratives. Étreintes elongates the curve of the snaffle bit around vivid emeralds, while Lasso Disco recreates the tension of a rope through rows of baguette-cut diamonds. Clou de Forge Lumière transforms the humble horseshoe nail into radiant compositions, Sellette revisits an eighteenth-century miniature saddle from the Émile Hermès collection, Attelage d’Or reinterprets harness buckles and bridles, and Galop Hermès offers the collection’s most direct tribute to the horse through sculptural silhouettes.

Colour plays an equally important role. Black jade evokes polished hooves, warm rose gold and brown diamonds recall the tones of a horse’s coat, while emeralds, moonstones, opals and tourmalines introduce subtle shifts in light and texture. Throughout the collection, gemstones are treated not simply as focal points but as part of a broader visual language.

Movement remains the defining idea behind ‘Into the Horsescape’. Designed to follow the body’s gestures rather than sit statically upon it, these pieces blur the line between ornament and object. The result is a collection that honours Hermès’ equestrian origins while translating them into contemporary high jewelry through form, material and craftsmanship.
