Latvian brand VERENS, which recently showcased its collection at RIGA FASHION WEEK, unveils ‘Surprise’, a collection that challenges traditional fashion with fresh layers and textures, inspired by youthful energy and experimentation.

‘Surprise’ by Verens, showcased at Riga Fashion Week, captures the vibrancy of youth with layered textures and innovative material combinations like linen, cotton, and knitwear. The designer’s collaboration with European stylists brings a diverse perspective to the collection, balancing style with comfort.

The collection began with the idea of creating versatile looks that could be layered or worn separately. «Each new collection is created with the goal of versatility, style and comfort, so that any product can be assembled in a new way, so each season we add new elements, which allows us to create more new fashion looks» explains Ekaterina Varan, Creative Director of Verens. «The beginning of the ‘Surprise’ collection was the development of an one look consisting of 3 items that can be combined with each other for that very bright layering, or mixed separately»

The designer’s vision also breaks away from uniformity, combining different textures for originality using fabrics like gabardine, linen, and knit to create dynamic, ever-changing fashion. «A linen dress with a voluminous coat brings freshness and expressiveness to the look,» she says. Knit dresses with shine and draping were added for sophistication.

«We wanted the pieces to shine at events, so we included gold and silver details for elegance and chic,» she adds. Comfort and versatility are central to the collection, with high-quality fabrics chosen for their comfort. «We aim for every piece to be combined in new, original ways each season», Varan concludes.
