A rose passes from hand to hand, tracing a circle. The new collaboration between Mexican designer Willy Chavarria and adidas reworks sportswear through this shared symbol, connecting identity, community and resistance.

A shared gesture holds the collection together: a rose passed from hand to hand, where emotion becomes a form of connection. The latest collaboration between Willy Chavarría and adidas arrives this April under the title ‘Love Prevails’, expanding their partnership through a Spring/Summer 2026 collection of footwear and apparel. Presented globally this week, the drop builds on Chavarría’s language of oversized silhouettes, workwear-informed tailoring and references to Chicano culture, combined with a casting practice rooted in Latinx communities and extended through a racially diverse, inclusive cast. The collection translates these codes into garments and sneakers grounded in adidas Originals.

At its core, the Superstar is reimagined with a rose-shaped toe, replacing the iconic shell with a sculptural form that shifts both silhouette and meaning. The rose operates as symbol and gesture, carrying associations of care, devotion and strength while introducing softness into a traditionally rigid design. It also functions as an offering, something that circulates and connects.

This logic of the circle extends across the collection. ‘Love Prevails’ unfolds as a tribute to Chavarría’s community, understood as a network sustained through resilience and recognition. Tracksuits, tailoring and graphic elements move between uniform and expression, reinforcing a shared visual language.

The campaign builds on proximity, assembling a cast that reflects lived community. Bodies and gestures construct images grounded in presence, aligning with Chavarría’s commitment to representation. Within adidas’ platform, identity takes shape through connection, and resistance through continuity and care.
