Summer stretches into something slower, almost intangible, in Miu Miu’s L’Été 2026 campaign, shaped through the styling of Lotta Volkova.

Light holds everything in place, extending the moment until it becomes almost weightless. Miu Miu presents its L’Été 2026 campaign in April 2026 under the creative direction of Miuccia Prada, with art direction by Christopher Simmonds and styling by Lotta Volkova. Photographed by Jeano Edwards, the campaign features Sateen Besson, Liu Haocun, and twins Lena Mantler and Lisa Mantler in a setting defined by sea and sky, where spatial and temporal limits dissolve into a continuous field of light.

The narrative unfolds through atmosphere rather than action. A diffused daylight extends across each frame, erasing distinctions between morning and evening and producing a sense of duration instead of sequence. Summer appears here as a condition that stretches, a slowed temporality that replaces urgency with continuity. The images remain suspended, allowing the viewer to enter a space where nothing demands resolution.

This sense of ease translates directly into the wardrobe. Cotton poplin shirts, lightweight chinos, jersey dresses and relaxed outerwear construct an informal silhouette that feels both familiar and slightly displaced. Preppy codes surface in softened forms, interrupted by gestures that introduce movement. A scarf shifts, a collar loosens, proportions adapt to the body with a quiet fluidity. The result is a wardrobe that suggests intention while allowing space for variation.

Accessories punctuate the composition without breaking its rhythm. The Vivant bag anchors the look, while sandals and sneakers maintain continuity. Cowboy hats and Ivresse sunglasses introduce a subtle inflection, adding character while preserving the overall calm.

Casting extends this logic. The presence of Lena and Lisa Mantler alongside established models situates the campaign within a contemporary visual ecosystem, where identity circulates between physical and digital realms. Their inclusion sustains the same atmosphere, reinforcing a sense of simultaneity rather than contrast.
