Creative archetypes inspire the new Miu Miu Upcycled collection — the Photographer, the Painter, the Singer, the Writer and the Countess — a limited-edition drop that transforms vintage garments into unique pieces of cinematic flair and radical delicacy.
The latest Miu Miu Upcycled collection, designed in collaboration with celebrated costume designer and producer Catherine Martin, continues the brand’s circular fashion journey by reimagining authentic vintage pieces through a feminine, contemporary lens. Presented in the short film Grande Envie, the collection unfolds through five muse-like characters, each revealing a distinct facet of womanhood and creation.
The Photographer explores tactile contrasts by pairing vintage suede with regenerated cashmere, shaping soft-yet-structured jumpsuits and clogs. The Painter plays with composition, mixing nautical scarf patchworks, geometric knits and lace into expressive silhouettes. The Singer offers a lighter mood, with ribbed tanks and striped knits in gentle tones, romantic and fresh.
The Writer channels introspection and sensuality in silk dresses with antique lace and dyed vintage denim that deepens texture and narrative. The Countess, elegant and timeless, wears evening gowns fashioned from 1920s and 30s lingerie, adorned with intarsia lace and fluid lines that suggest quiet luxury.
Available exclusively in selected stores, each piece in this Miu Miu Upcycled edition is one of a kind. At once nostalgic and forward-looking, the collection reclaims the past to envision new forms of beauty, craftsmanship and identity.
