SKALL STUDIO: Modern love enjoying the silence

18 / 02 / 2025

It is fun when you lose yourself in the fashion vicinity before a catwalk. A unique, under-construction venue awaited the guests of this show to find the way out of the maze that dared the visitors to interact with each other on their way to seek the entrance. But it´s easy to spot fashion people, you just develop an eye with time that discerns just with a sight models wandering the street, or journalists, or content creators. We are a tribe that moves with a singular style within.

A hall, formed of eleven team members from Skall Studio in black dresses over black trousers welcomed and seated everyone inside this diaphanous backdrop with unfinished walls, impressive ceiling heights, and large skylights. It felt rather intimate as it was not so large in size and did not have such a high number of guests.

Skall Studio´s collections are 100% natural fibers, with the absence of skin and fur. This Northern Jutland sisters have created a universe with their brand of effortless and classic styles made to last fleeting trends by supporting one of the few remaining knitting factories in Denmark.

This time around, they presented Modern love. A love story of craftmanship, impeccable lines, finishes, and exquisite fabrics. Nude tones made the total look or sometimes would accompany a statement piece garment in contrasting light blue, dark blue, light pink, and intense pink. Some kitten heels here and there, flat shoes with pointy toes, or just some brown-ish sneakers. Dresses with same-tone herbal embroidery, blazers, and trench coats put together the modern woman’s wardrobe. Embracing their bodies with simple shapes or oversized coats. Knitted wear, gloves, and hats to keep us from the cold days in practical yet beautiful ways.

Hence the name of the collection, as the press release explains: “Made for modern women of our time. Strong women who are independent, creative, thoughtful, and caring. Women who are not afraid of being themselves, and women who appreciate a wardrobe that makes room for their personality and freedom of expression”.

And all those women depicted by the models, walked one by one, not alone but together in the nothingness of the diaphanous backdrop with unfinished walls, impressive ceiling heights, and large skylights. They were “Enjoying the silence” from Depeche Mode as a way of closing the show.
