19th-century Parisian bohemian aesthetics meet the codes of sophistication in ‘Niche & Chic’, a collection that explores nostalgia, desire and the contradictions between good and bad taste through a decadent, ironic and countercultural lens.

Elegance and irreverence have always made an intriguing combination. Guided by the philosophy ‘We make characters’, Reparto, the Madrid-based fashion label led by Ana Viglione and Margil Peña, explores their coexistence in ‘Niche & Chic’. Clothing becomes a tool for imagining personalities and desires that challenge conventional definitions of style, with each look bringing together fragments of nostalgia, subculture and fashion history.

The collection draws on late 19th-century Paris, where bohemian culture emerged alongside the popularisation of ‘chic’ as a synonym for sophistication. Reparto brings these seemingly opposing worlds together, embracing their contradictions.

Leopard-print sequins, hot pink, black taffeta and custom badges meet asymmetric shirts, lingerie-inspired pieces and graphic T-shirts bearing slogans such as ‘Fashion Victim’ and ‘Everything Looks The Same’. Romantic details and exaggerated volumes add to the collection’s playful decadence.

Photographed by Ana Marti and styled by Martxel Montero, the lookbook features model Agnes Barr, with hair and makeup by Alba Córdoba. Made in Madrid with Paris in mind, ‘Niche & Chic’ finds beauty in the contradictions of taste.
