What does your brain look like when you desperately need to get away from everything? For Crayon Angels, apparently it’s green, underwater and completely free of judgement. VEIN MAGAZINE premieres “Grønn”, the dreamy new video from the Spanish-Norwegian band.

There’s something very appealing about disappearing for a while. No notifications, no deadlines, no noise. Just somewhere else. That’s exactly what “Grønn” is about.

The track comes from Crayon Angels, the new band formed by Mourn sisters Jazz and Leia Rodríguez, Norwegian musician Kenneth Ishak and drummer Victor Garcia. Their self-titled debut album lands October 23 via Sellout! Music, after the whole project came together almost accidentally in Sant Feliu de Guíxols.

Grønn means “green” in Norwegian and describes a fictional place inside your head where you can escape when real life gets a little too much. A world surrounded by nature where there’s no judgement, no pressure, just calm and connection.

For the video, Jazz decided to keep things simple. Very simple. “I wanted to make a homemade video with nature to represent the atmosphere of the song, so I bought a waterproof camera online for €30 and went out filming whatever I found.”

What started as a walk and a few underwater shots quickly became something else. Jazz liked the footage so much that she eventually stripped the whole idea back to water. “I enjoyed it like a kid on summer holidays. I think it represents the song really well, because it shows a little bit of what this inner world called Grønn could feel like, where you can just flow without judgement.”

And honestly, you can feel it.

There’s no complicated storyline here, no need for one. Just water moving, light shifting and a few minutes where everything feels slightly quieter. It’s almost like being allowed inside someone else’s escape route.

There’s even a little sonic easter egg. The guitar sound in the choruses isn’t actually a chord, but a percussive sound that moves like water. For Jazz, it sounds like “a fish swimming fast.”

So, consider this your excuse to stop scrolling for three minutes.
