From Biarritz to the web, Chanel translates its Cruise 2027 show into a summer capsule built on the same codes, reducing the gap between runway and release.

The sea sets the direction. CHANEL presents its Cruise 2027 show in Biarritz with Matthieu Blazy, returning to the place where Gabrielle Chanel opened her couture house in 1915, on the Spanish coast. That choice defines the collection and its continuation. Days before the show, the house reopened its Biarritz boutique next to the beach, aligning the location with the collection and its immediate availability during the summer. COCO BEACH SS26 appears almost at the same time online and in boutiques, bringing the runway into immediate use. The same codes run through both – marine references, raffia, cotton, silk and swimwear – shaping a wardrobe designed for summer and movement, “far from Paris and its conventions.”
Presented in May 2026 in Biarritz, Matthieu Blazy shows his first Cruise 2027 collection for Chanel on the Atlantic coast where Coco Chanel opened her house in 1915. The show takes place by the sea, on a sand-toned set that brings the beach into the space. It revisits the 1920s and 1930s, when the Chanel wardrobe was defined, updating it through lighter constructions and direct wearability. The Little Black Dress appears reworked, alongside silk sets, raffia skirts, washed cotton tailoring and swimwear. Marine elements – shells, coral, starfish – run through jewellery and embroidery, with striped knits and straw bags reinforcing the seaside context. The choice of Biarritz points to origin, linking past and present through a wardrobe built for movement and everyday use.
COCO BEACH SS26 acts as the most direct summer expression of the Biarritz narrative. It keeps the same visual language – shells, striped knits, raffia accessories and fluid silhouettes. Swimwear, light dresses and cotton pieces complete the same idea with a more immediate function. The beach becomes a working code rather than a decorative reference: a place where Chanel can connect origin, lifestyle and availability.

The distance between show and capsule becomes minimal. Chanel builds continuity between what appears on the runway and what enters the wardrobe almost straight away.
