Down the Rabbit Hole at ABRA

ABRA goes down the rabbit hole for SS27. Inspired by Arrietty and Alice in Wonderland, Abraham Ortuño Perez plays with scale, proportion and surreal silhouettes to create a wardrobe where being different is the whole point.

For Spring/Summer 2027 at Paris Fashion Week, designer Abraham Ortuño Perez took ABRA down a rabbit hole, drawing on the miniature world of Arrietty and the surreal fantasy of Alice in Wonderland. The collection played with the idea of a reality where scale and proportion no longer behave as expected. Dresses appeared fused together, silhouettes were turned upside down and familiar shapes were exaggerated almost beyond recognition. Fabrics expanded into monumental forms, while mushroom like textures created organic, playful surfaces with a slightly psychedelic quality. The result was a wardrobe caught somewhere between miniature and gigantic, delicate and strange.

At the center of the collection was a celebration of individuality and the desire to stand out in a fashion landscape that can increasingly feel neutral and repetitive. Ortuño Perez treated clothing as a form of imagination, encouraging the wearer to invent their own proportions, character and world. Layers were placed unexpectedly, garments were multiplied, enlarged and transformed, creating looks that felt less like conventional dressing and more like stepping into another universe. At ABRA, the rabbit hole became an invitation to leave the expected behind, with the wearer ultimately becoming the character.
