For Nike’s latest campaign starring Lisa, the Mercurial leaves the pitch and reappears as a futuristic couture creation crafted from football boots.

For Nike’s ‘Rip the Script’ campaign, Lisa appears in a striking custom dress crafted entirely from Nike Mercurial Superfly 11 Elite football boots. Created by Thai design collective IWANNABANGKOK in collaboration with stylist Nanist, the look reimagines one of the brand’s most recognisable performance products as an experimental fashion piece.
Rather than simply referencing the Mercurial, the designers physically deconstructed multiple pairs of boots and rebuilt them into a sculptural silhouette. Synthetic uppers, aerodynamic panels and technical textures were reshaped to form the body of the garment, preserving the visual DNA of the original footwear while introducing a completely new context.

The details reveal the complexity of the transformation. Studs taken from the sole units were repositioned as three-dimensional embellishments, while the Mercurial’s fluorescent laces became corset-like fastenings woven throughout the dress. Every element remains connected to the original boot, creating a dialogue between performance engineering and couture craftsmanship.
The final look also embraces the growing influence of footballcore and coquette aesthetics. Oversized bows constructed from Mercurial materials soften the technical silhouette, balancing the aggressive visual language of elite sports equipment with a more playful and hyperfeminine sensibility.
