Dressing as a private, deliberate ritual, an intimate gesture shaped in silence before it becomes visible to others, lies at the heart of ‘Poetic Rebellion’, Spring Summer 2026.

In its new chapter for Spring Summer 2026, Marni presents ‘Poetic Rebellion SS26 Vol.1’ as a reflection on dressing as ritual rather than performance. The collection focuses on the moment before stepping outside, when clothing is chosen in silence, guided by instinct, touch and self perception. It proposes a slower pace, shifting attention from display to intention, from spectacle to presence.
‘Poetic Rebellion’ is built around the idea of quiet power. A power rooted in restraint, in garments that suggest rather than impose. Silhouettes are relaxed, leaving space between body and fabric, allowing movement and individuality to emerge naturally. Construction feels intimate, closer to the body’s rhythm than to rigid structure, while volume and proportion create a sense of ease.

Color and texture reinforce this inward tone. Muted shades sit alongside subtle chromatic accents, shaping a wardrobe that feels personal rather than declarative. Prints and surfaces appear deliberate yet instinctive, echoing the brand’s long standing interest in tactility, emotion and human irregularity. Accessories follow the same logic, conceived as part of the daily act of dressing rather than as statements in themselves.
By naming the collection ‘Poetic Rebellion’, Marni reframes rebellion as an internal choice. Dressing for oneself first, valuing preparation over visibility, and understanding clothing as a form of self grounding. SS26 Vol.1 functions as an opening movement, suggesting a season guided by reflection, continuity and quiet confidence.
