With pieces named Vega, Rita, Mitra, Flora, Atlas, Aku, Ama and Cielo, Après Ski’s latest jewelry collection blends gold, silver and stillness into a luminous passage between life and dream.
“Since the beginning, body and mind have been expressions of the same reality, and the world was experienced as a reflection of the self,” reads the poetic text accompanying the collection. Après Ski introduces Nieve sobre Flores, a jewelry collection rooted in the Eastern principle of non-duality, where perception is no longer divided and all things mirror the self. In this SS25 offering, gold and silver become poetic instruments of stillness, unity and illusion.
Each of the eight designs —Vega, Rita, Mitra, Flora, Atlas, Aku, Ama and Cielo— embodies a spiritual gesture, carrying within it a sense of stillness and unity. “The Tree of Non-Duality gives one fruit from a single seed,” declares the poetic narrative that runs through the collection. In this space, birds and nests, flowers and moonlight are not separate, but held in the same breath.
Designed by Lucía Vergara, founder of Après Ski, the collection draws from Vedic and Tantric texts, as well as Schopenhauer’s reflections on illusion. For the German philosopher, the world is a stage of appearances — a notion that resonates with Māyā, the Hindu veil of illusion. He believed that transcending that illusion leads to the insight that “life and dreams are pages of the same book.”
In Nieve sobre Flores, jewels unfolds as a quiet reflection on perception, presence and the dissolution of boundaries. A material echo of a world where life and dream speak the same language.
