For Autumn Winter 2026, Lucila Safdie stages the societal debut of Bunny Bell, a heroine suspended between etiquette and refusal, where girlhood rehearses womanhood under chandelier light.

There is a charged stillness in the world of Lucila Safdie, the London based label founded in 2022 by the Argentinian designer and Central Saint Martins alumna. With ‘Run Away Bunny Bell’, presented during London Fashion Week for Autumn Winter 2026, Safdie deepens her exploration of girlhood as a site of performance, friction and fragile defiance.
Bunny Bell arrives dressed correctly, almost impeccably. A suited wool coat and tweed bolero are taken away, unveiling a wardrobe that studies the rituals of becoming. Prim conformity slowly curdles into rebellion. Purple lace bodysuits function as delicate armour, while raw denim capris pass as eveningwear. Pleated miniskirts coexist with floor length gowns, structured jackets are cropped into gestures of youthful interruption, and floral cotton jersey blooms at the cuffs with chiffon frills that resemble corsages pinned for a coming out that feels both imposed and self directed.

Safdie’s silhouettes hover between inheritance and improvisation. Pink satin glows under imaginary chandeliers, golden bouclé captures the shimmer of polite conversation, and faux fur trimmings operate as fragile shields for debutantes still learning the codes of the room. Powdered eyeshadow spills inside an evening bag, champagne stains rental polo dresses, abandoned heels slide across the rug. Etiquette is rehearsed with precision, yet boredom simmers beneath the surface.
The collection unfolds like a script of social gestures. Make out, fan on the left cheek. Leave, fan on the right. Bunny performs beautifully, even as she would rather be a freak than one of them. Safdie captures that suspended threshold where identity is neither fully formed nor entirely obedient, shaped by a female gaze attentive to complexity and contradiction.
Each piece is crafted in small quantities in London, preserving the intimacy embedded in the brand’s narrative. In ‘Run Away Bunny Bell’, becoming a woman feels theatrical, tender and quietly insurgent.
