Dreams, sleepovers and the determination to step into the spotlight define the Fall 2026 collection by Florentina Leitner, presented during Paris Fashion Week. Titled ‘You Are a Star’, the collection begins with the sleepover scene in ‘The Princess Diaries’, where an awkward outsider starts to imagine herself differently. Leitner transforms that cinematic moment into a wardrobe about persistence and self belief.
Star motifs run across the collection as both decoration and metaphor. Laser cut shapes punctuate tops and outerwear, glitter appears on the models’ faces, and star jewelry elements integrate directly into jackets and shirts. The imagery builds a dreamlike universe where aspiration becomes visible through playful details.
Another reference shapes the emotional tone. Leitner recalls the scene in ‘Sex and the City’ where Carrie runs through snowy New York in pajamas on New Year’s Eve. The collection develops that tension between private intimacy and public visibility through boxer shorts, sheer layers over pink lingerie and relaxed silhouettes finished with tiaras.
Accessories reinforce the playful narrative. Lamb shaped bags, sleeping masks used as headpieces and glitter prize bows reinterpret symbols of dreams, rest and recognition. The palette grounds the fantasy in winter tones of black, grey and white, punctuated by soft pink, pale blue and flashes of metallic shine.
