Romantic silhouettes meet utilitarian ease in a collection that celebrates nature, movement and everyday rituals.
Cecilie Bahnsen’s Resort 2026 collection continues the delicate balancing act the Danish designer has mastered over the years: ethereal pieces that feel equally at home in everyday life. Cecilie Bahnsen brings together the lightness of fantasy with the grounded beauty of the natural world, resulting in garments that feel lived-in, not staged.
This season, Bahnsen presents a continuation of her Fall 2025 collection—what she calls a “coda”—where soft, voluminous shapes are counterbalanced by sporty, functional details. Drawstring shorts are embroidered with three-dimensional flowers, and technical fastenings are reimagined in the shape of daisies. The effect is playful, but precise: romanticism remixed for modern life.
A highlight of the collection is her collaboration with Alpha Industries, materialised in a series of zip-up jackets that blend utility with botanical whimsy. Some feature laser-cut petals; others are patched with delicate, hand-tinted motifs inspired by a vintage gardening book found in England. Bahnsen was especially drawn to the images where colours bled outside the lines or where a bloom exceeded the frame—an apt metaphor for her own practice, as she prepares to celebrate ten years of building a brand that gently defies categorisation.
The campaign images, shot on a breezy Danish summer day, further this sense of movement and freedom. Wind lifts the hem of bubble dresses, animates layers of sheer fabric and highlights the collection’s dual spirit of delicacy and ease. There’s an intimacy to it, drawn from Bahnsen’s own experience growing strawberries with her son—a slow, joyful process that informed the relaxed energy of the pieces. “There’s something that spills over and inspires something new,” she says.
