We sent photographer Joonas S’Diri backstage during Paris Fashion Week Men’s last month to capture moments beyond the runway amid last-minute fittings, hair and makeup adjustments, and the mood before call time. In a shift from the traditional backstage lens, S’Diri handed his phone to the models themselves, inviting them to take control of the camera. The resulting selfies feel intimate and instinctive with fun flashes of personality, confidence, nerves, and humour that rarely surface once the show begins.

This series of unfiltered selfies gives a glimpse into how models see themselves in those in-between moments, styled and ready, yet still entirely their own…well, with all the magical makeup that is fashion week.
