Some anniversaries look back. ‘Autoportrait’ chooses to look within, exploring identity through the artists, images and ideas that have shaped Acne Studios over the past 30 years.

Three decades after its founding in Stockholm, Acne Studios looks inward with ‘Autoportrait’, the twenty-first issue of Acne Paper. Conceived as a self-portrait of the creative world that has grown around the house since 1996, the publication brings together fashion, photography and cultural reflection in a single volume.
The cover, photographed by Carlijn Jacobs, features Lulu Tenney styled by Imruh Asha, capturing the issue’s spirit through artistic freedom, intimacy and joy. Inside, four self-portrait stories by Jordan Hemingway, Guinevere van Seenus, Malick Bodian and Katerina Jebb explore different ways of representing identity.

The edition also includes a visual archive by Casper Sejersen and contributions from figures including Sadie Coles, Honey Dijon, Max Lamb, Viviane Sassen, Lena Endre, Mark Holgate, Natasha Fraser, Xerxes Cook and Vince Aletti. Under the editorial direction of Thomas Persson and the creative vision of Jonny Johansson, ‘Autoportrait’ continues Acne Paper’s dialogue between fashion, art and publishing.

The new issue is available through Acne Studios stores, selected bookstores and online.
