A. Roege Hove was the first show of my day. Located on top of the CIFF, you could appreciate two different dynamics happening at the same time; the brands showcasing in the showroom and the busy rithm of a fabulous show.
Amalia, the designer, won Woolmark’s Karl Lagerfeld Award for Innovation in 2023 amongst other prizes. For this collection she plays with volume and interacts with human form inspired by Erhard Walter’s dynamic relationships study between human & object.
The rich textures of the collections and the way the designs adapted to feminine bodies resulted in singular pieces that played with geometrical shapes and natural delicacy. Feminine, modern, comfortable and bold. We could mainly find black and white combinations and some colour touches in earthy tones. The whole collection looked clean and natural and was presented in this all-windowed industrial space that also houses the team studio. It had to be like that so the show would only be a continuation of the innovative experimentation on the creation of the garment.
The light was beaming at that time of the day, illuminating all corners with its gentle touch.
