Byredo turns lip care into a full-sensory ritual with its new tinted balms

Byredo‘s latest beauty release is anything but ordinary. The brand known for transforming everyday products into sensorial luxuries — from scented candles to waterproof eyeliners — has just introduced Lip Care Balm, a new range of tinted, refillable balms designed to elevate a basic beauty step into an addictive ritual. Available in five buildable satin shades, these balms blend skincare, fragrance and colour in a single swipe.

Developed under the creative direction of Lucia Pica, Lip Care Balm is more than a pretty tube. Its formula contains over 92% natural ingredients — including castor seed oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, rose extract and sunflower wax — to hydrate, soften and repair dry lips. Even the clear shade, ‘Chromophobia’, is packed with 99.7% ingredients of natural origin. While the balms offer lasting comfort and moisture for up to 24 hours, it’s the sensorial dimension that makes them stand out.

Perfumer Jérôme Epinette, the nose behind many of Byredo’s fragrances, created a bespoke scent for this line: an elegant blend of red fruits, powdery florals and creamy vanilla, subtly sweetened with a touch of pink sugar. A single application turns lip care into a fragrant moment of self-indulgence.

Presented in a curvy silver and gold case designed by Ben Gorham, the balm features a teardrop-shaped bullet for precise application and a refillable mechanism that supports the brand’s commitment to sustainability. The five shades — ‘Chromophobia’, ‘Chain Reaction’, ‘Fantôme Rapture’, ‘Celeste Nostalgia’ and ‘Cloud Busting’ — range from sheer to bold, adapting to any mood or routine.

Available now for €52 (with refills priced at €36) on Byredo’s website, Lip Care Balm proves once again that for this brand, beauty is multisensory and endlessly seductive.
